Offering Resources on a Weekly Basis during Stand Up
We understand that there is a real need to step up and offer support to employees whenever you can. While we have always placed a great deal of importance on offering resources and support to our associates, we have doubled down on that by educating our team on a weekly basis on various resources available to them, particularly for their mental health. The National Safety Council has found that, “The COVID-19 pandemic will affect the mental health and wellbeing of employees well beyond the immediacy of the initial crisis.” With that in mind, that is why we began sharing resources with our team on a weekly basis that are available to them for support and crisis management when it comes to their safety and wellbeing.
Communication is the Key to Success
One of our company’s core Codes of Conduct is Communication. Now more than ever, communication is vital to ensure morale is as high as possible and the communities remain as safe as possible for everyone who inhabits them. JSI notes that, “Effective and timely health communication is always important, but this has become even more clear as the public health and medical communities work to stop the spread of the new coronavirus across the world.” Not only can communication help create better relationships in the workplace, it can also keep everyone safer. The key to successful outcomes, in any situation, is in large part due to clear, concise and ongoing communication.
