The residents and managers at Spring Hills Hunter’s Creek Assisted Living competed to see who could make the best green smoothie in honor of Nutrition Month on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. Using Kale and other veggies grown in Spring Hills Hunter’s Creek’s own garden, along with fruits, yogurt, almonds, chia seeds and more, residents Betty Gartrell and Kiki Kashlak along with Community Relations Counselor Angela Buckles and Resident Concierge BJ Smith went head to head (to head to head) to determine the champion. Judging the contest was Executive Director Karen Decker and Receptionist Suzanne Albelto in a blind judging. The winner won bragging rights and a certificate hung proudly in the lobby.
