“Deficiency Free” Recognition Indicates the Residence Meets the Highest Standards In Statewide Benchmarks for Care and Safety
For the fourth year in a row, Spring Hills Middletown Assisted Living earned the industry-respected designation of “deficiency free” when they were found to be in 100 percent compliance with state requirements from the Ohio Department of Health (ODH). ODH conducted the survey on January 15, 2016. The state conducts this survey annually and scores senior care facilities based on a number of criteria to assess resident care and resident safety.
The Ohio Assisted Living Association (OALA), which represents the largest number of residential care facilities in the state, further recognized the achievement of Spring Hills Middletown for promoting excellence in senior care options. Jean B. Thompson, Executive Director OALA, has awarded Spring Hills Middletown a certificate of commendation and said, “Deficiency free surveys are the result of hard work, effort, and true concern for residents. Many years of deficiency free surveys are all of that on a consistent basis. Congratulations on this outstanding achievement!”
Charlene Himes, Executive Director of Spring Hills Middletown, commented on the dedication it takes to be “deficiency free” for four years in a row, “Everyone at Spring Hills Middletown works tirelessly to provide for residents the very best care year-round. Having received this designation four years in a row is affirmation that we are succeeding and I, for one, couldn’t be more proud of the entire Middletown team for always going above and beyond.”
Helen Robison is a resident at Spring Hills Middletown Assisted Living. She, along with the rest of the residents, is fully aware of the superior care that they receive at Spring Hills Middletown and understands the positive implications of a deficiency free survey. “It is wonderful and I think Spring Hills deserves the deficiency free survey. I appreciate all of the care and services rendered. I plan to live here the rest of my life.”
