John Wayne and Red Skeleton helped the seniors at Spring Hills Singing Woods Assisted Living learn about the American Flag for Flag Day. On June 14, 2017, Rob Liput, a 30-year retired Army officer, taught the seniors about the significance of folding the American Flag, what each of the 13 folds mean, and the seniors folded a flag. The veterans received a special pin and certificate in thanks of their service. They also celebrated the Army’s 242nd birthday. In a video presentation, the seniors heard Red Skeleton recite the Pledge of Allegiance, and John Wayne joined in the celebration. And of course, the seniors answered trivia about the American Flag.
