How do lottery winners choose their numbers? The senior residents at Spring Hills Cherry Hill Assisted Living learned this, won prizes from New Jersey Lottery and more when MaryAnn Rivell, Public Information Officer for the New Jersey Lottery, presented Where the Money Goes on Thursday, February 18. She told seniors interesting stories about lottery jackpot winners, how they reacted, chose their numbers and more. Rivell spoke about how lottery-generated revenue is distributed to support State-sponsored institutions such as homes for people with developmental disabilities, psychiatric hospitals, veteran’s homes as well as educational programs including non-public school aid, school breakfast and lunch programs, scholarships and more. After her presentation, seniors had the opportunity to have their questions answered.
