To celebrate Purim, the senior residents at Spring Hills Somerset Assisted Living made their very own Hamantashen cookies on Thursday, March 24, 2016. Residents used prune and cherry filling as their choice of flavors. Hamantashen are triangular shaped cookies created to remember the evil Haman who, in addition to unsuccessfully plotting to have all of the Jews killed in ancient Persia, wore a triangular hat.
