Bishop Fenwick High School Sophomores teamed up with the residents of Spring Hills Middletown Assisted Living in a fruit and veggie bouquet showdown in honor of National Nutritional Month. The four teams chose a jar or vase to hold their bouquet as well as ribbons for decoration and inspirational messages (on sticks that were inserted into the bouquet). Each bouquet was judged by staff members and residents who were not on a team. Judging was based upon appearance and taste. After the competition, the students and residents had time to enjoy the bouquets with each other. The students participate in a community service project each semester under their teacher, Meg Eckart.
