The residents at Spring Hills Mt. Vernon Assisted Living had a great time celebrating the Chinese New Year. A Chinese Dragon from the Jow Ga Shaolin Institute brought many New Year traditions to the event. They shared good fortune with everyone by tossing lettuce into the audience, the residents fed the lions red envelopes for good luck, and they also created their own good luck by petting the lions. After the celebration, the residents enjoyed a Chinese themed dinner.
WJLA – ABC7 News came out and recorded a Facebook live video at the celebration. Check it out below!
