At Spring Hills, we believe assisted living dining should take the quality of the food we serve just as seriously as any restaurant. Individuals of all ages need seasonal fruits and veggies, fresh fish, meat, eggs, and dairy, and healthy grains, nuts, and seeds to get the vitamins, minerals, and micronutrients that their bodies require. Taking a farm-to-table approach, Spring Hills uses only the best ingredients within our chef-inspired menu to make every meal a special one.
What is it like to enjoy meals in our community?
Within our years of providing senior care services, we’ve learned that each of our residents is an individual and has his or her own unique needs, tastes, and expectations. From comfort food and delectable desserts to garden-fresh cuisine, we make sure that our dining room has something for every palate.
What is a menu sample at Spring Hills?
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served every day with plenty of options that cater to health needs and taste preferences. For example, breakfast may include oatmeal with fresh berries and nuts, poached eggs and whole wheat toast with sliced avocado or fruit, or whole grain pancakes and fresh bananas and maple syrup. For those managing diabetes, we include plenty of heart-healthy options at every meal. Our culinary team uses our community garden for fresh herbs and seasonal vegetables as much as they can and makes sure there are vegetarian choices for our residents who prefer not to eat meat.
How are dietary restrictions or allergies catered to?
Our cuisine is completely flexible – ingredients can be easily substituted or left out to ensure that meals meet specific dietary requirements. We are very stringent with food allergies and can prepare separate dishes to make sure our residents are getting the very best.
What about holiday menus or special occasions?
Our approach to food is holistic, which means that we use the dining services of each of our assisted living communities to make life more fulfilling for our residents. We create traditional holiday menus to make events more festive and are always available to craft excellent menus for special occasions for our residents to enjoy in small, private, or community settings.
