“My loved one has been at this facility for 1 1/2 years, and I have yet to have any reason for complaint. You can tell EVERYONE that works here, from the care staff and management to the dining and maintenance staff, really takes pride in what they do and actually CARE about the residents here. It is so reassuring to walk into a place that has the amount of integrity that these amazing people do. Very clean and inviting community to say the least. Anytime I’ve brought an issue or concern to staff’s attention it is resolved in a very professional and timely manner. I could go on with my boasting, so I will leave it at that!”

My mom has lived at Poet’s Walk (PW) Round Rock for over one year now after moving from the Northeast where she spent her whole life. Coming to live in Texas was never on her radar nor mine. After, her living with my family for 6 years in NY and many falls I knew it was time to find mom a place where she would be safe and cared for 24/7. My husband found PW while living down in the area himself trying out new employment. From the moment we spoke on the telephone to the representative who contacted us, we knew PW was the place for mom. This representative went above and beyond as she traveled to Newark Airport in NJ, and slept in the airport the night before so she could pick mom up and bring her back to the facility in Round Rock. I figured for sure there must be a huge fee for this service. I was told there was no fee, and this is what PW does for a loved one traveling from out of state. Naturally, I was completely in shock awe!!Since mom has lived at PW she has experienced the most caring and loving staff you could ever imagine. I visit mom every couple of weeks and when something happens (mom feeling under the weather, gets a scrap or cut, etc.) I am immediately notified by the on duty nurse. Mom has made lots of friends and is no longer lonely waiting for our family to return home from work for conversation and company. She is safe, well fed, loved, impeccably clean, and happy and smiling whenever I visit. The staff polishes the residents nails and toe nails and makes them feel special and look great. There is a hair salon on the premises, mobile doctors and dentist that come to the facility. Name what you want and the staff there will make it happen. My mom does arts and crafts, memory games, exercise, helps to water plants in their beautiful courtyard and gardens. My mom has a beautiful room and view of the rose garden. One complaint mom has is the food; but she complains about most food and can be very picky.🤣 Another complaint is that many of the residents have some form of dementia, and mom is constantly telling me that she is the only one who knows what’s going on and that everyone repeats themselves over and over again and is confused. I go along with it and laugh to myself because she does not realize she does the same thing. 🤣Let’s face facts, the reason one goes to assisted living (AL) is because they obviously need help and supervision that their loved one’s cannot provide, otherwise they wouldn’t be there in the first place.I will say sadly there is a lot of staff turnover, but that is too be expected in a field where you can easily burnout quickly. In the six years I had mom living with my family, I was in the burnout phase, and I was not with her all day as she went to a day program.Honestly, PW is the most wonderful loving and caring facility. You would have a difficult time finding another AL facility that meets their standards of quality and excellence.😊

Poet’s employees are very caring and very professional. You can see by the way they care for the residents that they are in tune with each and everyone's needs. I have been there at different times and nothing changes. Poet’s Walk was the first Memory Care Faculty I visited. Went to 6 others and I always said they are no comparison to what Poet’s Walk offered and the love and kindness they have for the residents . I would recommend the facility to anyone. The staff does an awesome job. My aunt always says the food is very good.

The staff and Care Team have been great. My mother in law moved in the first of May. It was a big adjustment for all of us however we have total confidence and trust in Poets Walk. They communicate with us often with updates and pictures of my mother in law. They quickly reply to emails , texts and phone calls. My mother in law looks great and healthy and happy and this is all because of the people at Poets Walk. The staff is educated about the types of dementia and are very professional yet kind and helpful. The facility is clean and well taken care of which was also very important to us. They truly want the best for their residents. We couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend Poets Walk to anyone searching for a new loving home for someone with dementia.

Poet’s walk is an excellent place to provide the proper care of a loved one. The staff is knowledgeable, kind, and supportive. The choice to move a family member to a memory care community isn’t easy but they offer guidance, support, and peace of mind. Do not hesitate to consider this community for your family member. As a therapy provider, I am proud to work with the team in this community.

This place looks really nice when looking from the outside in. Having experienced the extreme medical neglect of a love one has left a bitter taste in my mouth for this facility. Please think two or three times before leaving your love ones in their care.If you are ready for your love ones to Die leave them here.Do a State background check on this facility first !!!!

This facility is a business. That is plain and simple from their approach. It is very smoke and mirrors to create an illusion to families that their facility is a happy and healthy environment for their loved ones. The truth is the actual caring members of the staff and a few managers are overworked and under appreciated. Poets Walk is under Spring Hills which hires people that may be competent in agendas but not in actually investing in any aspect of loving or caring for their residence. They have received one star for their showmanship and magic show presented to the potential room space to be filled, but other than that, the way this facility is run is conducive to a high turnover rate and toxic environment. I commend the assistants, volunteers, caregivers and nurses who do more with little and are often caught in the middle of actually caring and having to adhere to the goals put forth by incompetent administrators, activity directors and monetary planners. I wish I could recommend an alternative, but I can’t. Just be aware the real people who will be changing your soiled loved ones, feeding them, bathing them and playing games with them get paid 13.00 an hour. The people that sell you on how this facility is the Ritz Carlton get paid much more and will stop caring once your commitment is made. That might be something to process before making your decision.

If I could give this place no stars I would this place smells bad lights constantly go out has pest problems the care staff is sweet I liked working with them the new management is rude for no reason and wont work with their workers it's their way or the high way a lot of good amazing workers are leaving because of them because they think work is more important then furthering ur future I loved the residents there not worth the money the families pay for them to be there also is more of a memory care then assisted living just so hall know the assisted residents complain about it.

Poets Walk has always treated my family member very well. Always patient and mostly sticking to their set activities. They do have a lot of turnover with admin but the new Executive Director went above and beyond today. She explained state regulations with visiting our sick family member who is sick. I appreciate the kind words and understanding their staff has towards a rough time in our lives. Not to mention such weird circumstances with Covid going on. Overall a great memory care facility.

i visited this place for my mom in law last year for my mom in law. The person that tour me around made sure that it is the best place for your love ones to stay. They have 24 hours nurse on duty and it made me feel my mom is safe here. I was about to make a decision to bring my mom here but the second time around i went back I over heard most of the staff left because of the bad management and i have noticed they only have 2 aids for 30 residents and I am not impressed on the activities. The lady that sits with the residents doesn't seem to be creative and very encouraging and most of the time I was there she is the one doing all the job for the residents and some are just watching her painting or coloring the book. That's when i decide not to bring my mom in law here.

I posted a review this summer and it wasn't as glowing as this one. Many top staff had left and the place was in turmoil. Positions are now filled and things have turned around greatly under the care of a new manager. My father-in-law was here for about 6 months. Many of the aides are great, but not all. This is typical, I'm sure. They were very patient with my father-in-law, who had frequent outbursts. David, the social director, went out of his way at every turn to make my father-in-law comfortable and help support my mother-in-law, even giving her flowers and chocolates on their anniversary, since her husband was no longer able to do so. Several employees (Nicolette and Trenae) even attended my father-in-law's funeral. The front desk staff always have on a smile. They strive to treat your family as their own. We are very thankful for their support and care of our family member in his last months.

I recently interviewed for a job here. I don't know if I will get the job or not, but I was blessed to be introduced to such a special memory care home. I have 10+ years experience working in this industry. Poet's Walk is up there with the best places I've seen. Their technology to aid in the care & well being of their residents is top notch. It is far above anything I've seen before. The director has a real passion for what they do and it shows in the atmosphere of the community. They are the only Assisted Living home I've ever encountered that employs a full time social worker. They also have a full time nurse, which is becoming more popular, but most places only employ a part time nurse. They grow their own vegetables! They have life care stations which is vital to efficient memory care. The position I'm hoping to get is in sales. I have a strict policy on only selling something I personally believe in. I personally believe Poet's Walk is an excellent community to trust with your loved one's care.
